Len Evans Tutorial: Why apply for the greatest wine school on earth?

Applications open on 1st June for the Len Evans Tutorial, an amazing initiative aimed at honing the skills of Australia’s sharpest professionals across the wine industry.

Since 2001, a group of 12 scholars annually have been selected to take part in "the most exclusive wine school on earth".

This wild five-day ride of intense judging and insane wines in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, has a very serious purpose: To propel the Australian wine scene onwards and upwards by exposing scholars to an unrivalled wealth of accrued wisdom and some of the rarest wines on the planet.

Looking deep into the past and high up into the vinous heavens, our perception of excellence is heightened. This makes us better judges of the wines we taste, and stronger mentors to those coming up through the ranks.

It was a dream come true to be chosen as a scholar in 2022 among a fiercely talented cohort of winemakers, viticulturists, sommeliers, writers and educators that have become friends for life.
